On June 7, 2010, Cara A. Boyanowski was honored at the Heinz Menaker Center's annual fundraiser dinner. She received an honorary "Lift Your Voices" award based on her volunteer work with the center and her recent appointment to the Board of Directors. Ms. Boyanowski was very honored to receive this award. Other award recipients included the Honorable Stephen Reed, Pastor Brenda Alton, the Honorable Jeannine Turgeon and the Honorable John Cherry.
