Steven J. Schiffman concentrates his practice in the fields of business, taxation (including business and estate planning and administration), and non-profit corporation law. He also provides counsel in the areas of general litigation, real estate, personal injury and worker's compensation.

He is a graduate with distinction of the Pennsylvania State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1974. In 1977, he graduated from Capital University School of Law with a Juris Doctorate magna cum laude. In 1983, Mr. Schiffman received his Master's of Law in Taxation from Temple University School of Law.

After graduation from law school in 1977, Mr. Schiffman served as an Assistant Attorney General with the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue until the beginning of 1980.

After a short period of private practice concentrating in labor law, taxation and anti- trust litigation, Mr. Schiffman joined Ms. Serratelli to form Serratelli & Schiffman in 1980. Partner Michael F. Brown joined the firm in 1990. Since that time, Mr. Schiffman has practiced in the areas of State and Federal taxation, estate planning, worker's compensation, personal injury, employment discrimination and commercial litigation.

Mr. Schiffman acts as counsel to both non-profit and for-profit corporations. He is a partner in the S & T Title Insurance Agency and practices residential and commercial real estate law. He is a frequent lecturer to professional groups as well as local and statewide organizations on matters such as estate planning and non- profit corporation law.

Mr. Schiffman is admitted to the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and the United State Supreme Court.

Mr. Schiffman is married with two sons. He coaches youth basketball and baseball in his community. He is also on the Board of Directors of the Susquehanna Township Emergency Medical Services.
